Single but Not Alone
1. Seek First the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 6:33 says "Seek First the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." As you patiently wait in your singleness remember to be busy about the works for God, and always be hungry for his presence in your life. When you have the relationship with Christ, you would experience relentless joy and peace, and experience his reckless love. After all that is the greatest love you could ever get, and nothing greater comes along.
2. To women: Long to be that Proverbs 31 woman.
So This is for the ladies out there whether or not you are in a relationship. The Proverbs 31 woman is a noble woman, the wife material as you may say. It lists out all the characteristics, and as a Christian, we want to be this woman who is clothed with strength and dignity, and laughs without fear of the future. We desire to be that woman who fears the Lord all the days of our lives and that is wonderful. Always desire to be that kind of woman in the Lord, that our future family can rely on, and just to have that full confidence in God. We cannot do this without being one with God. We cannot do this if we desire what our flesh desires. We cannot do this if we do not Fear God.
3. You are not alone.........
Yeah it may sound weird that you're single and not alone. I mean if you put it in a literal sense. However, God is always with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 tells us to be strong, courageous and do not be dismayed because God is always with us wherever we go. We desire to be with that person to establish a relationship with so we do not feel the loneliness of this life. I mean we are humans, and we long for companionship. But remember in everyday, God is with you. He pours out His love for you, He wouldnt leave you or forsake you, so there is no reason to feel that loneliness. It is important that you have that alone time with God, listen to Him very carefully...... does it work? told you you're not alone
4. He wants the best for you
As a child of God, He desires the best for us, and yes our flesh may desire for one thing in disobedience to God which can lead us to disconnecting with Him. This breaks his heart. In my experience, I was disobedient in my past. I knew the Lord did not want me to be in that relationship, which later on drew me far away from Him. But God is so faithful, that he took me out of that train wreck, because He loves me, and wants the best for me. Who am I to deserve this? But if it wasnt for his grace and mercy, I would not be where I am with my walk with him. Going back to the point, So he took me out of this train wreck a year ago, because I know he wants the best. He works things for our good as Romans 8:28 would say. I know that He is working in the life of the person He desires me, and His choice is the best choice and I rely on Him big time. My choices are the worse but His desires are so perfect.
5. Wait on the Lord
As we wait patiently in the Lord, be busy about his works. We wait patiently in the Lord in a hope that does not disappoint because He does not disappoint. God has his will and perfect time. He is all knowing, and he knows the path he would lead you to. Be patient and obedient.
6. He doesnt want you to be alone :D
Adam was the first man ever created in this world. But God said in Genesis 2 that it is not good for a man to be alone, that is why he put Adam into deep sleep and took one of his ribs and create Eve. You see we are designed to have companions. Just because you are single does not mean that you are alone. God will put people in your life to encourage and uplift you through this life. Eve is not a very good example of that because of her disobedience but in other sense God will not allow us to be alone in this world to love us whether it may be a friend or friends, family, brothers, sisters, family in Christ and one day your future spouse who knows. But just because you are single does not mean your alone. You are loved by the people around you, most ESPECIALLY BY JESUS!
