Word of God Speaks

JESUS, the name itself is power. His word endures through ages, unfailing, ever living, teaching, ministering, loving. I am in awe by what God has done here in Santa Monica.  On the 21st day of April, God sent us to Santa Monica for another outreach. To tell you honestly, I really don't know where to start.....

First of all, I praise God for using us to be a light in this dark world. It is so humbling how God uses the unqualified like me to share about His love to the people who are yet to know him. God gave us gifts such as singing to not only bless the people who we encountered, but also to glorify him. 

After each performance that I was involved in (Choir), I had the opportunity to pass tracks, and talk to other people. I am amazed by how many believers were there in on that day, and I am sure that God has placed them there for the right reasons. The first group of people that I met were actually missionaries from Ukraine. It is so rare (super rare) that I get to meet people who are on a mission here in Los Angeles from another country, I got to talk to them, and met their pastor, and was privileged enough to pray over them for we are all aiming for the same purpose and that is to show the world the love of God. I am amazed and encouraged by the love they have for Jesus, and how it shows that Jesus is in them through the small interaction. 

The next group of people that I encountered were two ladies from Downey, and that they told me how encouraging to see us there to just show people who Jesus is. I had the opportunity to get to know them, finding out that they were believers. I had the chance to just take time and pray for them, and us being alone in the presence of God. It was just an amazing encounter, and although i do not remember their names, I remember their faces.

The next one was another couple who were also believers,  So the wife had/ has/ have breast cancer. And they have been in a constant battle, winning over cancer time after time, and it is just so amazing how despite the cancer, that they leaned on to God, and how . They believe that his power is much powerful than cancer. They believe she is surviving because of Him. It is humbling to see that people who are going through different things, the good, the bad and the ugly, yet are still in obedience, and leaning to God for power and confidence. 

The last people I have met were 2 ladies ( not in the picture), since we were just giving out cake, my pastor did not let them leave without getting a tract, and God was gracious enough to give us that opportunity to minister to them. So we were all enjoying the slice of cake, and I got to know them. They were tourists from China, and they just cam from Pennsylvania, and apparently they heard about Jesus but not know Him. God is so good that they were very receiving with the Gospel, and that they saw how much God loves them, (i had a partner to evangelize to the other lady too). Anyways, the holy spirit just led us to what to say to the ladies, and allowed us to introduce. And Praise the Lord, they were in awe by my King. They told me that no one has really told them about Jesus, and that this is a trip for them to remember.

EVEN believers need some ministering and counseling too. 

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
