THE WAY
So I was blessed enough to be called by God to go back to third street promenade in Santa Monica with the CCSB Missions Outreach Team. This is the third time that God has been faithful enough to show me that this is one of my mission fields. This outreach has been close to my heart since the first time serving last Christmas. No matter how many times I have been there, it always ends up being a different experience. I end up coming home with a different testimony. I had one of those moments where I was right in the middle of the street during this recent outreach and I looked around and saw alot of brokeness, as if I heard people's heart, and I remember Jesus was telling me that this is why we go out there, to show them that He loves them no matter what. It felt like the entire world pause, and I remember looking at my sisters ministering to a homeless lady, and I saw the brokenness in her from far away, where I felt frozen for a second, and just prayed. I had many encounters with believers who needed encouragement, and reminder that Jesus is on their side no matter what. and that blessed me because just when I though I was the one blessing them, it was them that blessed me. It just made me see how much Love God has that surpasses every fear, every sadness, every tears.
Man, I wish I had every word to say, but these words do not justify the goodness of Jesus as I have witnessed in Santa Monica. I cannot describe my experience with the right words because it was like a personal encounter with Jesus. It was timely too because I have been reading the book of Matthew, where Jesus sets an example of evangelizing and ministering, and I have witnessed what Jesus can do.
Whenever we comeout in santa monica, we always present dramas, dances, song numbers, and worship. I had the opportunity to lead the drama team, where we did a skit about everything by lifehouse. the preparation period was intense where practices were cancelled, we were going through warfare, and even in the last minute, costumes were left at church. However this did not stop us from performing it for the glory of God, and I was just reminded that God provides, and He did provide us people to fill in roles, last minute props were made to improvise. But most importantly I was amazed by the team, and how much they sacrificed their time for practices, all for their love for Jesus, and it was encouraging to see that. Honestly, this would not happen if it wasnt for them, and God's faithfulness.
